Camp Simcha
A pioneer in kosher summer camping for children with cancer
and other life-threatening illnesses>, Camp Simcha, established
in memory of Dr. Samuel Abraham, offers over two hundred children
the chance to experience summer camp in separate three-week
sessions. Located on 125 beautiful acres in Glen Spey NY and
supervised by a full medical team and highly trained camp personnel,
campers from around the world can enjoy a few emotionally and
physically refreshing weeks of summertime fun and recreation.
Chaiyanu sends over 50 children to Camp Simcha free of charge.

"SIBS"
Program (Specially Important Brothers and Sisters)<
Under the guidance of doctors, social workers and mental heath
professionals, the "Our SIBS" program offers siblings counseling,
support groups and vital information regarding their brothers'
or sisters' illness. The program also features special trips
and events.

Chanukah
Toy Drive
Every year Chaiyanu collects and distributes thousands of
toys to children throughout Israel. Many of these children receive
their gifts at hospital parties sponsored by Chaiyanu. Toys
are presented to children who have been or are currently being
assisted by Chaiyanu as well as to their siblings. On Chanukah
itself, big brothers, big sisters and volunteers personally
deliver toys and presents to the homes of Chaiyanu families.

Respite
"Parents staying with their child in the hospital or at
home are invited to take advantage of our Chaiyanu volunteers,
who will fill in for them while they take a break, recharge
and get some rest. Overnight sleepovers at hospitals or at home
are available as well. " A get-a-way plan is a well-needed option
for parents taking care of their ill child as well as for the
rest of the family. Chaiyanu arranges places where the family
can go to for a weekend or during the week to rejuvenate both
emotionally and physically.
Family
Get-Togethers, Family Days and Trips
Throughout the year Chaiyanu organizes many events and programs
that offer a rejuvenating experience for the family, including
fun days, trips to water parks and concerts. These Get-Togethers
enable families to reunite in a pleasurable, happy atmosphere
as well as receive support from others who are in a common situation.
Volunteer
Services
Highly trained volunteers are available 24 hours a day,
7 days a week. These volunteers do everything possible to help
the family return to a normal routine, despite the difficult
situation. Whether at home or in the hospital, Chaiyanu volunteers
will be there and do whatever it takes to help.

Big
Brother/Big Sister
Highly qualified volunteers create a close bond with the sick
child as well as with his or her siblings. Becoming an integral
part of the family, at times as close as family members themselves,
the big brother/big sister supplies the warmth and support needed
to help ease the stress and lends a loving hand wherever needed.
