Program
Hospitalized or homebound children can be connected to their
classrooms through Chaiyanu's technically sophisticated video
teleconferencing system. Chaiyanu loans state-of-the-art equipment
to the children and, if needed, to their schools. Technical
assistance is available.
Chaiyanu provides guidance to classroom teachers on ways
to address the emotional problems of the sick child and
his/her siblings as well as follow up on how the child is
progressing.
Highly skilled educators and health care professionals are
available to help facilitate classroom discussions about
the student's cancer in general and specifically how to
relate to the sick classmate.
Tutoring for the sick child and/or siblings is available on
request on all varied subjects.
